Antenna Bot V2
October 27th 2009 Update!
The new and improved hardware design for Antenna Bot V2. Behold….
Are you still beholding? OK, cool. So as you can see I have updated the build so that the router station pro can fit snugly into the under bottom of the V2 hardware. This will allow for the only external part to be the power supply. That is if you are using it on AC power as opposed to the power pack option that the final version will support. Initial power designs put the possible power uptime with one card running at 8 – 10 hours. Not too bad. However it was my math and we will see of far off I am when the time comes. It appears that Dragorn of the Kismet project might help write some Antenna Bot plugin’s to support the hardware out of box. Very cool. Only thing I have to do is build him his own bot
Sounds like a deal. More details to come.

The whole idea of the Wifi Sniper project was created from the need to attempt to get the best signal possible during wireless penetration tests. During testing I found it very annoying to pinpoint the network that I was attempting to compromise only to lose it when I thought my antenna was set right. The idea behing Wifi Sniper was just the first problem I was attempting to fix. Since this project was first started many more posibilities have arisen.
Right now the project is closed source at current. This however is only temporary. Right now we at Synthetos are attempting to produce “useable” code and a easy to use/fabricate hardware design before releasing anything to the community. The initial release should be within a month or so. The first release should include the following:
- Hardware Design Docs (Google Sketch Format)
- Python Command Line Interface (Antenna Control)
- Arduino Source Code (Motors Logic Controller)
- Web Interface (AJAX – CherryPY)

For now feel free to check out development photos and the sort. -
